Motorcycle Trailer

2005 Electra Glide Classic (FLHTCI) with home made trailer.  I purchased the 1 1/4" receiver and wiring harness on the the bike at MCHITCH.  I like the fact that it is an 1 1/4" receiver and not just a ball sticking out at the back of the bike.  This way I can put a cooler carrier on the back when not pulling the trailer.  The trailer top was purchased from Sears, it is made for the top of a car, but fits perfectly on the trailer.  It has 18 cubic feet of storage which is plenty on the motorcycle.

Fiskars Splitting Axe

Fiskars X25 Splitting Axe
Splitting locust logs roughly 18-24" in diameter.  I am getting about 10-12 pieces out of each log.  About 90% of the time I am getting single strike splits, the only time I am not is the first split on a log, but that only happens once in a while.  I am extremely happy with my Fiskars X25 splitting axe.  The you tube videos and the video on the Fiskars website is very true and this axe is worth the money.

I recently purchased the X11 splitting axe from Fiskars.  This is the smaller version of the X25.  This will go nicely with my camping gear and fit in my new motorcycle trailer.

Deer Jerky

Earlier in the year Cabela's had their heavy duty dehydrator on sale for about $40 off regular price, picked one up with another $20 off coupon, then this week they are having their employee pricing sale until so I purchased a jerky pistol.  Got it for about 1/2 normal price, its a huge upgrade from my old one.  I made 5lbs of deer jerky from the deer a shot a few weeks ago.  This should be a nice healthy snack for the family.
